I met Maria at the Family Center and had the privilege of having her with us during two very special moments: as the photographer for my newborn’s photoshoot and as my doula. In both roles, she was absolutely amazing, providing invaluable support to me and my family. My postpartum period was particularly challenging. After a second C-section, I found myself caring for a newborn and a 1-year-and-8-month-old toddler. Having Maria as my doula during this time made all the difference. Despite the language barrier — as English is not my first language — and my older daughter initially being a bit shy, Maria handled everything with incredible sensitivity and professionalism. Maria herself was awesome. She communicated well, was prompt in responses and I never was worried she would miss an important moment.
I was nervous it might feel intrusive having someone in the delivery room, but it never felt that way. My husband and I were still able to have private moments —which Maria subtly captured, and felt like we had solid family time once our little one arrived.
The photos are STUNNING. She was wonderful and patient with our newborn and our toddler while getting the 1-week old photos.

She will always be connected to us not only as a great passionate photographer with creative ideas (100times better pictures than I could imagine!), gentle and patient touch with newborn babies and family like environment but also as a doula.
Maria can be chatty and talkative but when needed she is a calm anchor in the middle of the storming labour.
